Volkswagen Group Australia appoints Tony Grasso as General Counsel & Company Secretary

Sydney, December 4, 2025: Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Antonio “Tony” Grasso as General Counsel & Company Secretary, effective 3 November 2025.

Tony joins VGA following an impressive 21-year tenure with Inchcape Australasia, where he held senior legal and compliance roles since 2004. He also served as Chair of the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) Legal Committee from 2018 to 2024, reinforcing his reputation as a respected leader within the automotive legal community.

With extensive experience spanning both local and international markets, Tony brings a unique combination of automotive industry knowledge and legal expertise. His background includes active participation in executive and leadership committees, as well as presenting on legal and strategic business topics to global audiences.

VGA Managing Director, Karsten Seifert, said Tony brings a wealth of experience to Australia’s largest importer of European vehicles, combining an extensive automotive background with significant legal expertise both locally and abroad.

“Tony’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Volkswagen Group Australia as we continue to expand our product portfolio and accelerate our electromobility strategy,” Mr Seifert said.
