Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) is this country’s leading importer of European passenger vehicles.
VGA consists of the Volkswagen Passenger Vehicle and Commercial Vehicle brands, Audi, Skoda and CUPRA.
The VGA national sales company was established in 2001. The Czech brand SKODA joined the portfolio in 2007.
On January 1, 2022, VGA merged with the hitherto separate Audi Australia headquartered above Audi Centre Sydney at Zetland in inner city Sydney.
VGA launched the Barcelona based CUPRA brand in mid-2022.

In addition to its headquarters, VGA owns or operates facilities in the Sydney CBD (CUPRA Garage), Chullora in south west Sydney, Essendon Fields and Derrimut in Victoria. The company employs some 300 people on staff to handle all aspects of VGA’s operations - supporting sales growth, the network of dealerships, customer experience, service facilities and media/public communications. Thousands are employed through the more than 180 combined brand dealerships nationwide.

The breadth and strength of VGA’s product portfolio is unrivalled; from Volkswagen’s Polo city car to Audi’s RS e-tron GT electric supercar with every segment between and a dominant light commercial vehicle arm besides. VGA is class leading in all segments of the automotive market in which it competes. Via its brands, the company will become a dominant force in battery electric vehicles.
