Volkswagen Group Australia welcomes the National Vehicle Efficiency Standard
Australia’s auto market should align with the world’s best regulatory standards, Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) has affirmed..
The Federal Government has announced that a National Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES) will be implemented from January 1, 2025. The government has invited submissions as to which of three suggested models should be legislated.

“At this time, VGA would suggest the possibility of an NVES modelled on Option B with elements of Option A super credits for full Battery Electric Vehicles and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles.”

VGA consists of the Volkswagen brands, Audi, Skoda and CUPRA.
